3 Day Diet

One of the most attractive claims that any diet plan can offer is quick weight loss. People realize too late that their lifestyle and eating habits have made them extremely bulky. Some have this realization after putting on the skinny jeans they used to wear a few months ago. Some suddenly feel a lot heavier after meeting a friend who unceremoniously exclaims ‘you’ve gotten heavier’. Because the person in a panic will try anything to get thin quickly, the 3 day diet may prove to be a good idea.

This is probably the quickest diet you can try if you’re rushing to fit into the clothes you bought for an event.

The claim:
Lose 10 pounds in three days.

The method:
Follow a strict diet regimen for 3 days. Water or coffee can be consumed at any time during the diet as long as no sugar is added. After 3 days, spend 4 days eating normal meals (do not overeat!). Then, you can go on your 3 day diet again. The cycle can continue until you get your target weight.

On day 1, you can consume a cup of black coffee or tea, half a grapefruit or fresh juice, a slice of toast and a teaspoon of peanut butter for breakfast. For lunch, have a slice of toast, a cup of black coffee or tea and half a cup of plain tuna. For dinner, eat two slices of meat equivalent to 3 oz, a cup of string beans, a cup of carrots or beets, a small apple and a cup of vanilla ice cream.

On day 2, have a cup of black coffee or tea, a hard boiled egg, a slice of toast and half a banana for breakfast. For lunch, have a cup of cottage cheese or half a cup of plain tuna, plus five pieces of soda crackers. For dinner, eat one plain hot dog (remove the bun), a cup of broccoli or cabbage, a cup of carrots or turnips, half a banana and half a cup of vanilla ice cream.

On day 3, have a cup of black coffee or tea, five pieces saltine crackers, an ounce (one slice) of cheddar cheese and a small apple for breakfast. For lunch, have a hard boiled egg, one slice of toast and one cup of black coffee or tea. For dinner, have one cup of plain tuna, one cup of carrots or beets, a cup of cauliflower or green leafy vegetables, half a cup of vanilla ice cream and a cup of cantaloupe.

The catch:
You can’t stray from the diet plan, not even to add more flavor to the food you are eating. Salt and pepper can be added but other seasonings are not allowed. You can’t use substitution for the food items on the list. Steam the vegetables or eat them raw.
