Lemonade Diet

It is said that a person can survive for more than a month on liquid alone, but can’t survive for a few days without the necessary nutrients. Taking this into consideration, many people believe that a liquid diet is entirely feasible, and may just provide the solution to their weight problems.

The Lemonade Diet is considered a crash diet in many circles because of several reasons. First, the person modifies his daily diet drastically so that only liquids are consumed and the number of calories consumed is kept low. Better known as a cleansing diet, the lemonade diet plan is supposed to get rid of the toxins in your system by making you move your bowel more often and suppressing the need to eat on a whim.

Here is the basic recipe for making the lemonade:

2 Tbsp lemon or lime juice (approx. 1/2 lemon)
2 Tbsp genuine maple syrup (not maple flavored sugar syrup)
1/10 Tsp cayenne pepper (red pepper) or to taste
Tepid distilled water
Combine the juice, maple syrup, and cayenne pepper in a 10 oz. glass and fill with water.

The claim:

Lemonade is said to be an appetite suppressant. The drink created using the recipe above contains all of the minerals that the body needs. When taken daily and without solid food, the lemonade diet can result in a weight loss rate of 2 pounds a day. Done 3 to 4 times a year, a person can cleanse his system safely and lose weight in the process using the lemonade diet.

The method:

Follow the lemonade diet for seven to ten days or more. This means you will need to replace all your solid food with this decoction. Drink a little every time you feel hungry. Water can also be taken during the interim, but the drink should be your main source of nutrients for the duration of the diet. Six glasses a day, around four during the daylight hours and two at night time, would suffice. The severe restriction in calorie intake will result in rapid weight loss.

The catch:

Your body will show signs of resistance to the diet during the first three days, this is particularly true for first time users. You’ve been eating solid food daily for years and a drastic change in daily diet like this could make your body react violently. Expect to move your bowel several times a day initially, while your body is assimilating the changes in diet patterns. Many users start the diet on a Friday so that they have the whole weekend to deal with the adjustment phase in the comfort of their homes.

You can use only genuine maple syrup and organic lemons or limes. Substitution with honey or other artificial sweeteners is not allowed. The creators of the Lemonade diet are selling all the ingredients you would need to create the drink should the main ingredients be unavailable to you.
