Celebrity Weight Loss

Celebrities have it harder than ordinary folks when it comes to beating the weight. Not only do they have to deal with the pressure of being scrutinized under the microscope for flaws, they must also struggle with inner demons that hamper their celebrity weight loss plans. When celebrities grow too big that the public lines up their ‘over the years’ red carpet photos, they usually turn to their nutritionists, life coaches and trainers to develop a program that can help them lose the weight in the least amount of time possible.

Many people think that surgery is always the key to most celebrity perfect bodies. But like normal folks, many celebrities are aware of the consequences of going under the knife. Surgery to keep the weight off may be the last resort if all the diet programs and products in the world don’t work.

Here are some of the most famous celebrity weight loss diets, or diet plans that have been rumored as the ones that certain stars used to keep their beautiful figure.

The Hampton’s diet

The Hamptons Diet is named after the high end community in New York City for unclear reasons. What we know for sure is that the Hamptons diet is a cross between two other popular diets, Atkins and Mediterranean. One requirement of the Hamptons Diet is to get rid of processed foods and carbohydrate sources. Instead of these unhealthy foods, the dieter should take only vegetable dishes, fishes, omega-3 fatty acids, meat from lean parts of animals, whole grain bread and fruits low in sugar. Fats can only be consumed in monounsaturated form like the oils from macadamia. The diet program uses specific food sets to encourage dieters to make better choices when it comes to the food they eat. Sarah Jessica Parker and Renee Zellweger are the celebrities that are rumored to have used this diet plan.

The 3-hour Diet

The 3-Hour Diet is not about going on a diet for three hours, as the name implies. Instead, the dieter is required to eat six meals per day. Another requirement is that the dieter should eat according to specific sizes and shapes, depending on what’s in front of them. Carbohydrate-rich food eaten at breakfast should be the size of small cubes. The portions of protein must resemble card decks. The fatty portion of any meal should be the size of a water bottle cap. Vegetables and fruits should fit the size of one or two DVD containers. Jessica Biel, Angelina Jolie, Lucy Liu and Jennifer Lopez have all been rumored to have used this diet.

The Macrobiotic Diet

The Macrobiotic Diet originated in Japan, and is said to be the diet responsible for Madonna’s lean and fit body. The diet involves eating brown rice, fruits, vegetables, whole grains and tofu products. The high-fibre and low-fat diet can make anyone thin.
